Complex Three Story Mold Loss in Gainesville, GA
Challenge
Our customer experienced a three-story loss emanating from a second story toilet leak that remained undiscovered for some time. The water had been leaking undetected inside the wall, down into the wall system behind custom kitchen cabinets, and then down into several areas of a finished basement.
Solution
Our team began to address the wet and damaged structures and through controlled demolition revealed extensive microbial growth inside the affected wall systems. We immediately contacted the insurance adjuster and advised the observable conditions and the possibility of other "hidden" damage elsewhere in the structure. We erected containment barriers to prevent cross contamination of the unaffected part of the structure. We worked with the adjuster to enlist a third party Industrial Hygenist to provide baseline assessment, and produce a complete protocol for the microbial contamination. Once secured, all controlled demolition and remediation was completed, post testing completed and the project was ready for our Reconstruction Team to begin repairs. Repairs were completed with a high degree of satisfaction under less TEMPthan ideal circustances.
